Gina Leone
Chairperson

Gina Leone was elected to the Members Committee in November 2019. She has been a member of the Firefighters’ Employees Credit Union all her life. She has a professional background in banking - in accounting, auditing, risk management and compliance in Sydney, London and New York. Gina also has a keen personal interest in philosophy and ethics, and is a strong advocate for ethical banking in the mutual sector, for the benefit of members.
Matt Eastman

Matt is a proud public school Deputy Principal (Inclusion & Support) who is committed to ethical, member-first governance. He has held numerous leadership positions on committees and associations and has a long history of serving the community as a NSW Justice of the Peace, understanding duty, integrity, and service. He has been a member of TMB since he was young, coming from a family of teachers, and has a strong desire to make sure TMB serves its members.
Matt brings strengths in strategy, risk, compliance, and stakeholder engagement, with postgraduate qualifications across educational leadership, psychology and special education, and is currently completing an MBA.
Veronica Harrison

Veronica Harrison has taught in secondary education across public and private schools at classroom, resource and management levels. As a businesswoman operating across a range of industries, her experience has reinforced the importance of putting the customer at the heart of everything the bank does, as well as recognising the value of a multi-brand community – Teachers Mutual Bank, Firefighters Mutual Bank, Health Professionals Bank and Unibank. She has been a member of the bank since 1974.
Judy MacGraw

Judy MacGraw began her varied career path in secondary schools and TAFE NSW as a teacher, adult trainer, curriculum designer, author of textbooks and researcher. She moved to corporate management positions working in quality assurance, industry skills planning and funding, and later at the national level in accreditation and registration standards. She was the CEO of a national Industry Skills Council for the community services and health sectors and a consultant specialising in strategic planning, organisational performance, and workforce development. Judy was the Chair of the Board for the Western Sydney Migrant Resource Centre and a board member of The Wine Society, Stormwater Australia and Spectrum Victoria. She has been a member of Teachers Mutual Bank all her working life.
Dr Tasha Prabhakar

Dr Tasha Prabhakar has a strong interest in public education having taught at university. She highly values mutuality, member services and sustainability and has helped build member-based organisations including NRMA, as Vice Chair of Youth Hostels Australia (YHA NSW Ltd), an international youth travel network, and as Chair of Playgroup NSW, dedicated to supporting families and communities with young children.
As a professional working as a Senior NSW Government Executive and Corporate Consultant, she demonstrates expertise in strategy development and execution, social research, member and customer experience enhancement and innovative solutions.
Fred Taweel

MBA, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner, Chartered Secretary
Fred Taweel is a strong proponent of mutuality, having a distinguished career with co-operatives, building societies, credit unions and mutual banks. “People helping people” is core to his on-going commitment to our bank.
With strong experience in audit, fraud prevention and governance, Fred is keen to build on the bank’s noted security, services, and products.
Bernie Williams

Bernie Williams worked as a secondary teacher and head teacher for 40 years and has been a member of our organisation since the start of his teaching career. He has maintained the link with the education sector by working as a university supervisor for beginning teachers and as an HSC Presiding Officer. He has represented the Members Committee on a broad range of committees. He is a passionate supporter of mutuality and of our bank.
